Limitations of Our Services
Alpha Omega Center is a non-profit medical facility providing medical services by licensed medical professionals, at no cost to our clients. Alpha Omega Center DOES NOT PROVIDE emergency services or general medical care. If you experience abdominal or pelvic pain, fever, abnormal bleeding or any worrisome symptoms, you should seek treatment at the emergency department or your doctor.
We provide a urine pregnancy test that is a screening test, 97% to 99% accurate; however, a physician must confirm that you are pregnant. Whether the test is positive or negative, you should consult with a licensed physician.
Alpha Omega Center partners with the Pennsylvania Department of Health (PA DOH) for STI screening and treatment of chlamydia and gonorrhea, and the PA DOH participates in processing and reading results of all STI screenings. The urine specimens that we obtain for these infections screening are sent to and processed by an accredited laboratory contracted by the PA DOH.
Alpha Omega Center will notify you of your results. Treatment will be discussed with positive results.
The Pap test specimen obtained through a Well Women’s visit is sent to and processed by an accredited laboratory. Alpha Omega Center will notify you of your results.
Alpha Omega Center does not perform or refer for abortions.
As mandated reporters, Alpha Omega Center staff are required to report suspected child abuse.
If you do not have a physician, we can provide you with referrals to local physicians for your medical care.
Our Client Advocates are lay people who have received training in interventions related to reproductive health issues and sexually transmitted infections, and are not necessarily licensed or degreed personnel. The information obtained at Alpha Omega Center is not intended as a substitute for professional counseling.

Privacy Statement
At Alpha Omega Center, we are committed to our clients’ privacy. Our staff is required to maintain complete confidentiality about you and your case. All information is kept confidential except if child abuse reporting laws apply or if we believe or hear that you are in danger of hurting yourself or others. Therefore, we will not initiate conversation with you outside Alpha Omega Center premises, unless you give us permission (for example, to call, email, or text). If your Client Advocate happens to see you outside of the office, they will not initiate conversation with you, although you may do so with them.
We keep a short record of your visit. You may request a copy at any time.
